1. 1

   Muscat — Grand Mosque, Al Alam, Mutrah

   Meet at MCT. Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque (not Friday). Al Alam Palace and Old Muscat walls. Mutrah fort, Mutrah souq, Corniche. Royal Opera House gardens if time. Night at the harbour hotel.

2. 2

   Sharqiya — Dayqah, Bimmah, Sur, Ras al Jinz

   East on the coast: Dayqah Dam, Bimmah sinkhole, Sur harbour and the dhow yards. Night at Ras al Jinz for the turtles.

   Sleeps at Ras al Jinz Shore House · Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

3. 3

   Bidiya — turtles, desert camp, camel

   Morning turtle walk if the night was short. Then Bidiyah into Wahiba. Camel on the dune line. Camp night with real beds.

4. 4

   Nizwa — castle, souq, old Al Hamra

   Nizwa fort and the souq. Afternoon in old Al Hamra mud quarter. Night in a Nizwa inn, not on the bypass.

5. 5

   Jabal Al Akhdhar — plateau and resort

   Up the Saiq checkpoint. Terrace villages, sightseeing, a mountain-lodge night.

6. 6

   Across the Ages, Bahla, Birkat al Mouz

   Oman Across the Ages museum, Bahla fort, Birkat al Mouz oasis. Night back in Mutrah.

7. 7

   Dimaniyat Islands — swim & snorkel

   Boat to the Dimaniyat reserve. Swim and snorkel. Back to MCT for the flight.
